Mohamed Salah continues to make Premier League history with Liverpool one strike at a time
Liverpool's Egyptian king Mohamed Salah continues to write his legend in the Premier League after his most recent feat in the Reds' 2024/25 opening day win over Ipswich.
Salah helps Liverpool beat Ipswich
The Egypt international both scored and assisted as Liverpool ran out 2-0 winners over the Premier League newcomers on the opening day of the new campaign.
Salah assisted Diogo Jota's opener for Liverpool, before scoring a goal himself to make it 2-0 for the Reds on their first away trip.
Salah's goal helped him reach a new Premier League milestone, beating the likes of legends like Frank Lampard and Wayne Rooney.
Salah makes Premier League history
Salah's assist and goal against Ipswich meant that the Liverpool star has now scored or assisted in each of his eight Matchday one fixtures in the Premier League.
The 32-year-old Egyptian star has now registered more goals (9) and more goal contributions (14) than any other player in Premier League history.
Despite being under new management, it appears that nothing has changed for Salah, who is expected to again be among the top scorers for the 2024/25 Premier League season.
