Tourist is gang-raped for five days after being abducted in Pakistan

An alleged tourist was allegedly gang-raped for five days after being abducted in Pakistan before being dumped in the street with her hands and legs tied.

According to Mail Online, the 28-year-old woman was found lying in the streets in Islamabad, with a picture appearing to show her with her hands tied behind her back and her ankles strapped together.

She said that the men who allegedly gang-r@ped her threw her out of a vehicle in the G-6 sector of the city, where she was found by passersby who called the police, the Sun reports.

The woman, who claims to be a tourist from Belgium, was taken to hospital. She reportedly told police that she had been in Pakistan for six months.

Police have since arrested one man and searched his apartment, but he told police that the woman was mentally unwell and did not carry any ID with her, according to local media reports.

After investigators contacted the Belgian Embassy to confirm the woman's claims that she is a tourist, officials reportedly told them they had no record of the woman being in Pakistan.

Pakistan's security agency, the FIA, echoed this statement and said they had no trace of the woman entering their country.

Officials at the Belgian Embassy sent police to the Dutch Embassy, as the woman's hometown is said to be near the border between Belgium and the Netherlands.

This comes two years after an American vlogger claimed to have been gang-raped in a hotel in Pakistan by her guide and an accomplice who took videos of her to use as blackmail.

Pakistan's police arrested two people after the 21-year-old woman reported the assault in July 2022, which she said happened when she was visiting a tourist resort in the eastern Punjab province.

The detainees included the woman's host, who took her to a hotel in Dera Ghazi Khan, a district in the Punjab province where she said she was sexually assaulted, according to a police investigation.

The woman arrived in Pakistan three weeks before, according to police.
