Liverpool is yet to make a signing this summer, yet that could all be about to change in the form of Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili.

Mamardashvili has agreed personal terms with Liverpool ahead of a potential £34m move to the Reds, with the Georgia international viewed by Arne Slot as a long-term replacement for Anfield no. 1 Alisson Becker.

Having impressed at the Euros and been a key player for Valencia over the years, the 23-year-old shot-stopper looks set to finally get his big break in the Premier League, with Mamardashvili set to become Liverpool's first signing of the window.

Yet the Reds seemingly already have a plan on what to do with Mamardashvili.

Mamardashvili set to join AFC Bournemouth straight after Liverpool switch

According to Super Deportes, an agreement is in place for Mamardashvili to join AFC Bournemouth on loan once the goalkeeper's move to Liverpool is completed this summer.

With Alisson the clear no. 1 at Liverpool and arguably the best goalkeeper in the world, it makes sense why Mamardashvili will immediately go out on loan to a Premier League club to gain valuable experience in the English top-flight.

Indeed, the likes of Arsenal have seen the effects of what happens when two top goalkeepers are in the same squad with David Raya and Aaron Ramsdale, with the latter set to leave the north London side this summer.

Yet Liverpool have learned from their Premier League rivals and noted that Mamardashvili would be better playing regular football away from Anfield, with Bournemouth a good destination for the exciting goalkeeper.

Mamardashvili could thrive in the Premier League with the Cherries

Mamardashvili is clearly way too good to be sat on the bench playing a handful of games for Liverpool this season, with the decision to send the goalkeeper straight out on loan a smart one from the Reds.

And in Bournemouth, the Cherries will have a top goalkeeper who could become key for Andoni Iraola's side, who last season were one of the biggest surprises in the Premier League.

With Mamardashvili between the sticks, Bournemouth could once again surprise a few in the English top-flight, and the Georgia international will want to show Liverpool just how good he really is ahead of returning to Anfield in 2025.
