Manchester United have finally tied down their most important player to a new long term contract after months of speculations.
Last night, the Red Devils officially confirmed that Bruno Fernandes has signed a new deal until 2027, with an option for a further year.
If reports in the media are anything to go by then the Seleccao star is now amongst the highest earners at Old Trafford and has got a bumper pay rise.
According to The Sun, Fernandes has agreed personal terms of a contract with Manchester United that will make him earn around £350,000 a week, £54.6million in the next three years.
The British outlet have reported that the former Sporting CP playmaker previously used to earn around £220,000 a week.
So, he has got a pay rise of around £130,000 a week and in all fairness, the reigning Man Utd Player of the Year deserved this reward.
The 29-year-old attacking midfielder has been one of the most consistent players since joining the club in the winter transfer window of 2020.
Last weekend, Fernandes set up the opening goal of the Community Shield contest against Manchester City and slotted the ball in the net in the penalty shootout.
Manchester United will face Fulham in the opening game of the Premier League tomorrow night and let's hope Fernandes puts on a show for us to earn all three points.
