According to Chelsea News, Chelsea have been exploring a transfer deal to acquire Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, while Napoli are interested in signing Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea. The two clubs have been in discussions about these transfers for several weeks, though talks recently paused.
According to reports, a new meeting between Chelsea and Napoli is scheduled for this week to address the progress of these deals, involving Lukaku moving to Napoli and Osimhen joining Chelsea. Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Italy, who reported the upcoming meetings, noted that the latest discussions have yet to yield a conclusive result.
Di Marzio indicates that Chelsea is open to reducing their asking price for Lukaku following a meeting on Wednesday. However, Chelsea must present a satisfactory offer to Napoli and Osimhen for the deal to proceed.
It seems the transfer remains unresolved after the latest meeting, though additional talks are anticipated. Chelsea is keen to offload Lukaku, and Napoli is eager to secure him, raising the possibility that Osimhen might be excluded from the deal, with Napoli focusing solely on signing Lukaku.
