At a military expo outside of Moscow, Russia is showcasing its latest weaponry amid its invasion of Ukraine.
According to the Defence Ministry, contracts worth over $55 million have been secured at the Army Forum 2024.
These contracts cover the delivery of upgraded flamethrower systems, tanks, helicopters, guided missiles, and anti-sabotage boats.
The ministry has stated that the army is set to receive over 500 varieties of weapons and more than 1 million units of ammunition.
"The general concept of our enterprise is the creation of weapons that will be superior to imported analogues and allow us to have advantages on the battlefield," says Vitaly Bulgakov, deputy managing director of a military company.
The TASS Russian news agency reports that approximately 110 official military delegations and foreign companies are participating in the forum.
The latest release aligns with Ukrainian troops stating that they are continuing to invade Russia after crossing the border in the Kursk region slightly more than a week ago.
