Man Utd fans question Martial release as surprise move for England striker is reportedly considered.

Manchester United fans have criticized the club's decision to let Anthony Martial go after reports emerged about a new striker they are considering. Martial, 28, had been at Old Trafford since 2015, scoring 90 goals and providing 47 assists in 317 appearances before his release this summer.

After a strong start in England, Martial's final years were plagued by injury, causing him to miss 45 games over the past three seasons. Now a free agent, he has been spending time with his family. Fans are questioning his release, especially as the club is linked with Everton's Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Sky Sports reports that Calvert-Lewin is one of several forwards Man Utd is considering this window, following the signing of Joshua Zirkzee.

With one year remaining on his contract, transfer officials believe Calvert-Lewin could enhance Erik ten Hag's attacking options. However, the 27-year-old has a troubling injury record, missing 70 games over the past three seasons. Despite this, he played 32 Premier League games last season after recovering from major injuries the previous year.

Fans online have expressed their discontent, with one stating: "Manchester United let Anthony Martial go only to sign Dominic Calvert-Lewin? Why?" Another added: "Why release injury-prone Martial only to bring in another injury-prone player like Calvert-Lewin? It doesn't make sense."
