Mikel Arteta's Arsenal might make a last ditch move to sign a new striker this summer following reports of a decreased transfer fee.
Arsenal is working to strengthen all the section of their squad as they look to mount another strong Premier League title challenge, with plans to go one step further than they did last season.
Acquiring another striker has been talked about at the North London side this summer, but no deal has been submitted for any of their targets.
The Gunners have been interested in Ivan Toney and might decide to go all in for the England striker following multiple reports claiming Brentford may be prepared to decrease their asking price to less than £50m.
One of those reports came from talkSPORT commentator Tony Cascarino. He revealed that the England international might be available for as little as £40m, with potential add-ons.
Still on the same report, The Times has claimed that the Brentford marksman is now available for £30m as he enters the final year of his contract at the Gtech Community Stadium.
The drop in the 28-year-old's valuation could be a strategic move by the London club to get something out of his sale, seeing that he would be allowed to leave for free when his contract expires next summer.
