Premier league Manchester United giants are looking to improve their squad depth before the end of the summer transfer window and a looking to bring in another striker.
The Red Devils have already signed one striker this summer. Joshua Zirkzee joined the Old Trafford side from Bologna. He is expected to provide support for the club's new No.9 Rasmus Hojlund, but with an injury to the Denmark International, a new striker could be coming.
Hojlund suffered an injury to his hamstring during his side's 2-1 loss to their Premier League rivals Arsenal during their pre-season game in the United States.
As regards to that, the club is weighing up a £50m move for Brighton's 19-year-old Republic of Ireland striker Evan Ferguson amid concerns that Chelsea could try to sign him - per Daily Star.
Ferguson is one of the highly rated youngsters in the English top flight. His playing style is similar to that of Manchester City's Erling Haaland, but he is more of an all-round striker than the prolific Norwegian.
Last season, Ferguson spent most of the campaign out injured, playing just few games for the Seagulls. Despite his absence last season, the striker is still considered a top talent. Under the right manager and conditions, he should be able to excel. Also, he fits into the kind of deals United have been doing this season, signing young players.
