Premier League giants Liverpool is close to sealing a deal that would see them receive close to £30m this transfer window.
The Reds recorded two notable departure this summer when Joel Matip and Thiago Alcantara left the club as free agents. Since their departure, there have been exit rumors for the likes of Diogo Jota, Mohammed Salah, Luiz Diaz and Fabio Carvalho.
However, it is former Fulham star Carvalho that is close to sealing a move away from the Merseyside club this summer.
According to The Times, Liverpool have reached a £27.5m agreement with Brentford for the sell of their attacking midfielder, Carvalho.
Carvalho joined Liverpool in the summer of 2022 after having impressed with Fulham following his break into the first-team from the club's academy. After an unimpressive first season at Anfield, Jurgen Klopp decided to send the 21-year-old on two loan spells.
As per the report, Liverpool will receive an initial £20m, with the remaining £7.5m to come in add-ons. Also the Reds attached a 17.5% sell-on clause in the deal, in case of a future sale.
For incomings, the club is looking at signing Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi, but are facing difficulties in the potential deal, following the Spanish side's reluctance to sale.
