Protesters Vow to Return to Streets with 10-Million-Person March

According to report, The Take It Back movement concluded its 10-day nationwide protests against economic hardship, warning President Bola Tinubu that they will return with a larger crowd if their demands are not met. Despite occupying the streets for 10 days, protesters criticized the president's unwillingness to listen to their grievances.

The movement's demands include reversing fuel subsidy removal and reducing electricity tariffs. Activist Abiodun Sanusi stated that they will temporarily halt demonstrations but promised to return with a more determined crowd if their demands are not met.

The protests were marked by violence, with security agents using lethal force against protesters and journalists. The Nigerian Army admitted to mistakenly killing a teenage boy during a protest in Zaria.

The protesters' vow to return to the streets with a larger march highlights the ongoing dissatisfaction with the government's response to the economic crisis and their determination to push for change.
