Crossdresser, James Brown has reacted to the tragic death of popular Abuja crossdresser, Abuja Area Mama.
In a video he posted on Instagram, James warned other crossdressers against going on the road to pose as prostitutes. He stated that such men are putting their lives at risk. He stressed that Nigeria is a homophobic country and that people who are like him need to be careful. He stated that he loves to cross-dress but it's all for social media content.
Never have I dressed as a woman and then stood on the road. Never. My own rag queen is for content on Instagram, to shoot movies. Have you heard me say I am going for runs before? Even though you are a drag queen. It doesn't mean you should stand on the road and be waiting for a car to pick you up. Nigeria is a homophobic country. Stay safe out there.''
Abuja Area Mama was found dead on an expressway in Abuja on Thursday morning August 8, with a bloodied face and his clothes ripped apart showing his male genitalia. The deceased was known to be vocal about being a gay prostitute and standing on the road to get picked up by men.
