Tim Walz Attacks Donald Trump in First Rally as VP: Check Out What He Said About Trump

Tim Walz, Kamala Harris's running mate, touted his rural roots and criticized Donald Trump at a Democratic Party rally in Philadelphia. Walz, the Minnesota governor, said Trump would take the US "backwards" and called the Republican ticket "weird as hell."

According to the BBC, he spoke to thousands of supporters, highlighting his small-town roots, military service, and teaching career. Walz drew contrasts with Trump, saying he doesn't know about service because he's "too busy serving himself."

Walz sparked applause when he invoked a viral attack line, saying Republicans are "creepy and weird as hell." He also expressed eagerness to debate JD Vance, saying, "if he's willing to get off the couch and show up."

The pair emphasized defending individual freedoms, including abortion rights and safety from gun violence. Walz showed his folksy style, saying, "Mind your own damn business!" when discussing abortion access.

Harris and Walz launched a five-day tour of key battleground states and will speak at the Democratic National Convention. As Minnesota governor, Walz has overseen a productive legislative period, implementing a progressive agenda, including guaranteeing abortion rights and passing gun control measures.
