Fans of Spanish Giants Barcelona have been greeted with some news concerning one of the team's footballers. The player in question is Oriol Romeu and latest reports have confirmed the midfielder's move to Girona on loan.
Oriol Romeu has officially left Barcelona and sealed a return to Girona. The 32 year old Spanish defensive midfielder was not a regular player for the Blaugrana club in the 2023/2024 season and did not put up good performances when called upon to play. Romeu's future at Barcelona had been a subject of speculations for some time now but he has now exited the club.
According to reports from top media personality Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona have confirmed that Oriol Romeu has left the team for a loan move to Girona who are expected to cover the midfielder's salary until June 2025. Romeu is said to have been one of Girona's top transfer targets this summer.
