Netflix, founded on 29th August 1997 in Scotts Valley, California, by Marc Rudolph and Reed Hastings, is a well-known movie platform that has, over the years, become popular and faced a lot of competitors, from Blockbuster in its early years to HBO and Amazon Prime more recently. However, this platform has maintained its reputation, and many people are satisfied with its services.
Today, we will be looking at 7 very interesting movies to watch on Netflix. Let's get started.
1. Tau: This movie delves into the interaction between humans and AI. It has a storyline where a woman is kidnapped and forced to enhance an AI program governing a smart house.
2. Outside the Wire: In this movie set in the near future, a drone pilot deployed to a war zone teams up with a top-secret android officer on a difficult mission to avoid a nuclear attack.
3. Chappie: This movie has the storyline of a police robot named Chappie that is stolen by criminals who raise it as their own child. Being a high-tech machine with a new program, the robot is capable of feelings and thinking on its own.
4. Blade Runner 2049: Here, the storyline is about a future where there are human replicas, and Officer K gets involved in a series of deceptions and a mission to reveal secrets, leading him to expose many mysteries around the world where he is a part.
5. Extinction: Peter, an engineer who has been having a lot of nightmares about an alien invasion, finally seeks help from a psychiatrist. But his dreams become reality, and he is caught up in the determination to save his family.
6. Oxygen: Trapped in a cryogenic capsule and running out of time and oxygen, a woman fights to uncover her past and escape her entrapment.
7. Space Sweeper: A space crew finds a 7 year old girl in a wrecked space shuttle during a debris chase. They later discover that she is a humanoid robot that is being sorted after. With this discovery, they demanded ransom from UTS space guards
You may have noticed that most of these movies and recently released films tend to show AI involvement with humans. It is no longer news that artificial intelligence has come to stay. Our hope should be that we do not have a situation where AI tries to take over the world as depicted in Terminator.
