According to report, in a public statement, Igboho called on all Yoruba people and concerned Nigerians to resist the planned demonstrations.

He alleged that the protests are being orchestrated by unknown and hidden figures with the intent to fragment the nation.

Igboho highlighted that since President Bola Ahmed Tinubu took office on May 29, 2023, he has enacted groundbreaking policies that previous administrations lacked the courage to implement.

According to Igboho, these decisive measures have understandably disturbed those who feel entitled to govern Nigeria.

He asserted that these individuals are now attempting to destabilise Tinubu's administration, primarily through social media, aiming to create a rift between the government and the citizens.

Igboho emphasised that the protest organisers do not have the country's best interests at heart and are instead pushing an agenda that could harm national unity.

He urged Nigerians to recognise the progress being made under Tinubu's leadership and to support the current administration's efforts to improve the nation's situation.

The activist further criticised the method and timing of the protests, suggesting that they are strategically planned to undermine the president's efforts and sow discord.

He warned that participating in such protests could play into the hands of those seeking to destabilise the country.

Part of Igboho's statement reads, "Let us be clear: the protest is politically motivated.

"We call on all Yoruba people and well-meaning Nigerians to reject this movement. The Yoruba Nation unequivocally opposes any such protests."
