Man United Get Transfer Boost As Everton Star Keen On Joining Old Trafford

Jarrad Branthwaite is requesting that Everton match the £160,00 per week that Manchester United is offering.

This summer, Everton turned down two offers for the 22-year-old from United.

United's latest bid was for £50 million but the Merseyside club valued the center back at £70 million, which they were unable to match.

During the previous season, Branthwaite established himself as one of Sean Dyche's most valuable players and he is expected to have a bright future for both the club and the national team.

Everton is eager to give Branthwaite a new contract in order to accommodate this.

The defender's current deal, which is reputedly earning over £70,000 a week, has three years left on it.

However, if Everton does not even come close to matching United's offer, they claim that Branthwaite is prepared to reject any more terms, according to the Mirror.

For the Toffees, this possible standoff comes at a crucial moment.

The Merseyside outfit's most recent buyout negotiations with Friedkin Group collapsed, delaying owner Fahrad Moshiri's now two-year endeavor to sell the team.

Despite the most recent setback, Everton is still optimistic that new suitors would be able to work things out, reports Daily Star

Although United had made Branthwaite their summer transfer objective, the team is said to have retreated when sports director Dan Ashworth spoke with Kevin Thelwell of Everton recently.

Everton reaffirmed throughout this conversation their intention to seek a price that is more in line with their £70 million assessment.
