A former supporter of President Muhammadu Buhari, AbdulMajid Danbilki Kwamanda reacts after being brutally flogged for allegedly insulting Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani.
In a viral video, the assault occurred due to Kwamanda's alleged insults toward Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani on social media.
In the video circulating on social media shows Kwamanda, known for his political commentary on national issues, handcuffed and flogged by unidentified individuals.
The attackers, speaking in Hausa, hurled insults at him, saying, "Don Ubanka zaka Kara zagin, Governor Uba Sani, saanka ne, sai Kaci Ubanka."
Despite Kwamanda's attempts to explain, the attackers demanded he kneel and refused to listen, shouting at him to remain silent.
When asked about the incident, Kwamanda, reportedly a friend of Vice President Kashim Shettima, vowed to take legal action against those responsible for the assault, including Governor Uba Sani.
"I will surely take legal actions against the Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani and those who were asked to nearly kill me by excessive beatings, despite my health conditions," he stated.
In the video, Kwamanda is heard informing his attackers of his heart problems and diabetes, but this did not deter them from continuing the assault.
The incident allegedly took place in Kaduna, according to Kwamanda, at night in an unidentified area, with the perpetrators' faces fully covered.
