Ogunneye, Oyedele Train with Man Utd First Team; Handed Provisional Squad Numbers

The Nigeria-eligible duo joined the likes of Marcus Rashford, Casemiro, and Harry Maguire at the Carrington Training Ground on Thursday, as they bid to impress manager Erik ten Hag.

Ogunneye, a defensive midfielder, and Oyedele, a fullback, were assigned provisional squad numbers 59 and 66, respectively. This development suggests that they may be included in the traveling squad for the Red Devils' first pre-season friendly against Rosenborg in Norway on July 15.

Notably, Ogunneye received nine call-ups for first-team matches last season, including seven in the Premier League, indicating that he has already caught the attention of the coaching staff.

With several Manchester United players yet to report for pre-season training after representing their nations in the European Championship and Copa America, Ogunneye and Oyedele have a unique opportunity to make a lasting impression on ten Hag and the coaching staff.

As they continue to train with the first team, the young duo will be hoping to make the most of this chance and potentially secure a spot in the squad for the upcoming season.
