Report: Man United Have Stepped Up with Huge Offer too Sign PSG Attacker This Summer Transfer Window

Manchester United are yet to secure any new players in the current transfer window, but an announcement might be imminent, according to Man Utd.

Recently, Bologna's forward Joshua Zirkzee penned a five-year deal with the club, and his unveiling to the fans is expected over the weekend.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, United have made a substantial offer for Paris Saint-Germain winger Xavi Simons.

This move comes in the wake of speculation that Zirkzee and Simons could potentially clash due to their similar playing styles and positions.

Simons rejoined PSG from PSV Eindhoven last summer after they activated a £5 million buy-back clause.

He was then loaned to RB Leipzig, where he tallied nine goals and 15 assists last season.

Leipzig are eager to extend his loan, but faces stiff competition from Bayern Munich and Manchester United, who have shown late interest.

PSG are obligated to pay a significant sell-on fee to PSV if Simons is sold before January 2025, making them hesitant to approve a permanent transfer this summer.

A loan deal with an option to buy could be a feasible alternative, particularly if United decides to offload Jadon Sancho.

Sancho, who recently returned to training following a reconciliation with manager Erik ten Hag, could be a key factor in United's pursuit of Simons.

Mason Greenwood is also expected to leave the club soon, potentially clearing the path for new acquisitions.

If United successfully secures Simons, he would offer a high-quality option for the right wing-a position that has been challenging for the club in recent years.
