Mama G Reveals Why Nollywood Stars are Dying

According to a report, on July 13, 2024, Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwor, popularly known as Mama G, expressed her concern about the frequent deaths of Nollywood actors, attributing it to the carelessness and negligence of the actors themselves. In an interview with a reporter in Lagos, Mama G discussed the root causes of these deaths and recounted her emotional experience at the funeral of the late actor John Okafor, also known as Mr. Ibu.

According to Mama G, when people are engrossed in something they enjoy, they often neglect their health. She emphasized the importance of taking care of one's well-being, stating that some individuals opt for self-medication from chemists or pharmacies instead of seeking proper medical attention. Mama G attributed this carelessness to the actors' focus on bringing joy to others while neglecting their own health.

Mama G revealed that she broke down in tears at Mr. Ibu's burial when she approached his lifeless body and called out to him, realizing that he was gone forever. Although she did not expect a response, the moment marked the finality of his passing.

As an Evangelist, Mama G shared her personal journey of transformation and her encounter with God in 2016. She described how she separated herself for an extended period, responding to God's call to work for Him. After the 30-day period, Mama G experienced a significant change and was invited to share her testimony on stage. During her testimony, people began to fall under the anointing, and subsequently, she received invitations to speak at various religious events, leading to her becoming an evangelist.

Mama G concluded the interview by advising her colleagues in the industry to prioritize regular check-ups and avoid activities that could harm their health. Her own experiences had made her aware of the importance of maintaining well-being while pursuing a career in the entertainment industry.
