According to a report on Saturday, July 13, 2024, a woman who has not yet been identified and her son, Chukwuemeka, are accused of beating a fourteen-year-old boy named Testimony to death at their residence on Delta Street, Ayanre, near the Ibiye bus stop in Badagry, Lagos.
According to information obtained by our correspondent, the deceased was beaten for allegedly misplacing a N1,000 note that one of the suspects gave him to use to purchase goods at the market.
The deceased adolescent was reportedly beaten for several hours beginning at 11 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, before passing away from his wounds at around 1 a.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2024, according to several sources who spoke with our correspondent.
Speaking with our correspondent on Friday, July 12, 2024, one of the neighbors stated, "This young boy was beaten to death by his guardians, who were not his biological parents. The neighbours tried to intervene, but the doors were locked from the inside."
