Bose Ogulu, mother of Afrobeat star, Burna Boy has opened up about how growing up around the legendary musician, Fela Kuti influenced her career.
In a recent Famouz TV interview, Bose Ogulu stated that although she spent only a short time growing up around Fela and his crew, she learned valuable lessons about managing an artist.
She explained that she was old enough to understand that the manager holds more responsibility than the artist, including paying the band members and handling other duties.
Her father, who was Fela's manager at the time, managed the crew since everyone approached him, not Fela.
She stressed the significance of responsible management for an artist, noting that this has greatly influenced her current career in managing artists.
