Reno Omokri has alleged that the Labour Party's 2023, presidential candidate, Peter Obi and his supporters, known as Obidients, have a plan to ignite Kenyan-style riots in Nigeria.
According to Omokri, the former Anambra State Governor's attempt to spark any form of riot in the country will be unsuccessful.
He pointed out that the misinformation regarding the Samoa Agreement being linked to LGBTQ+ issues was instigated by the Obidients.
Omokri said, "The organised efforts by Peter Obi and high-profile Obidients to ignite Kenyan-style riots in Nigeria will not work. We know what they are doing. From the lies about the Samoa Agreement being about LGBTQ implementation in Nigeria, which was started and spread by an Obidient, Sonnie Ekwowusi, to the proposed End Bad Governance in Nigeria protest, to Peter Obi's X post, asking Nigerians to speak out and 'demand change' like Kenya. It is all a set-up."
The controversial author tackled Peter Obi for his failure to denouce the Monday sit-at-home and the activities of IPOB in his state.
He wrote, "This is a man who has never once spoken up or demanded change over the Monday sit-at-home in his state. Instead, he obeys IPOB and defends them that they are not terrorists and are people he lives with. He has never condemned the activities of IPOB and ESN that have destroyed the Southeast economy. Peter Obi did not condemn the Abia State Government's failure to pay civil servants minimum wage.
He also defended Labour Party Senators and Representatives for not rejecting their own SUVs, after he had condemned the purchase of the cars as 'wasteful', When gunmen killed nine people in Anambra three weeks ago, including a 22-year-old woman, Ifeoma Ochiagha, who had just gotten married two days before the incident at Nnewichi community in Nnewi North LGA and Nnobi community in Idemili South Local Government Areas, Peter Obi said nothing.
When IPOB threatened to kill anybody who came out on May 30, 2024, as they celebrated the fifty seventh anniversary of the declaration of the defunct rebel Republic of Biafra, did Peter Obi speak out? No. He was too busy taking photos with Maryanne Moghalu of the "Invest in Lagos at your own peril" infamy.
You cannot be silent about what happens in Igboland and ask Nigerians to speak out about bad governance. First of all, practice what you preach locally, and then the rest of us will follow your lead nationally. That is how it was done in Kenya.
