Arsenal and England right-winger Bukayo Saka explained the reason why he chose to represent the Three Lions at international level while he was eligible to play for Nigeria.
The 22-year is born in England to Nigerian parents and was then eligible to play for both England and Nigeria.
However, Bukayo Saka didn't think twice before choosing England as he played with the youth teams from U-16 to U-19.
Speaking on the decision back in March 2021, Saka who got his first England call-up in 2020 said : "Choosing Nigeria over England would be a tough decision," he said as per Goal.
"My whole family has been in England like forever, it would be very strange for me to adapt to an environment that I had never been in since growing up.
"When I grew up all my documents stated that I am English, hopefully Nigerian people will understand."
It's good reminding that although Bukayo Saka does not play for Super Eagles, he is very attached to Nigeria and regularly makes donate to the needy in the country.
