Finidi George has landed a new appointment as a Head Coach after his stint as the Boss of the Nigerian National Team, Super Eagles.
Rivers United is set to unveil George as their new head coach on Thursday. The 53-year-old George will take the helm at the former Nigeria Premier Football League champions following the sacking of Stanley Eguma towards the end of last season.
The unveiling ceremony will take place at Rivers United's secretariat in Port Harcourt. Finidi returns to the dugout just weeks after resigning from his position as head coach of the Super Eagles.
The former Ajax winger previously managed Enyimba, the nine-time NPFL champions, for three years, leading them to a title win in the 2022/23 season.
Rivers United finished a disappointing eighth in the NPFL last term.
