In a video posted on his official Facebook page, Alhaji Asari Dokubo, a prominent leader in the Kalabari Kingdom, revealed his approach to conflicts with his Ijaw brethren. Dokubo stated that upon his release from detention, he made a personal vow to avoid physical altercations with his Ijaw counterparts, opting instead to retreat.

However, he issued a stern warning to his adversaries, threatening to unleash "Boma," a formidable female associate, on those who dare to challenge him. Dokubo affectionately referred to Boma as his "father's child" and implied that she is more than a match for his opponents, calling her their "mother."

According to him, "Like I told you, I promised, I'll not take my hand to stand to fight my fellow Ijaw man. The day I came back from detention, I told myself, When an Ijaw man wants to fight me, I'll run, but you, I'll just stand and look at you. I'll just send one of my junior sisters, the one behind Boma, to chase you. Boma is too big for you; she's your mother. Those are the people-a small girl, my father's child."
