Epelle expressed surprise that someone as educated and intelligent as Lloyd would use outdated language but acknowledged their prior acquaintance with and respect for Lloyd's intellectual abilities. He emphasised the need for a lasting solution to the issue at hand, showcasing Epelle's commitment to advocacy and education.

According to him, "As smart and educated as you are, I'm surprised that you're calling me albino on national television. That's not acceptable; I'm not an albino; I'm a person with albinism. Just a point of correction, but however, I mean, I have met with you; we've shook hands; I know you; you're intellectually sound; let us find a lasting solution to the issue at hand."
