Asari Dokubo, a leader in the Kalabari kingdom, has stated that when the political crisis between Governor Fubara and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike first began, he (Dokubo) decided to stay neutral. He said he told his supporters not to take sides because they didn't know the real reasons behind the conflict between Fubara and Wike.
However, in a video Asari Dokubo shared on his Facebook page, he said he now understands what caused the fight between Fubara and Wike. He stated that he would focus on exposing Wike.
In Asari Dokubo's words: "I am now focused on exposing Wike, when this whole crisis started, I openly said I would not back anybody. I also asked those who believe in me not to back anybody since we don't know the reason for the fight between the political father and the political godson. Today I can categorically beat my chest and say we know what happened"
