Real Madrid youngster Vinicius Tobias has announced his departure from the club on social media, and Vinicius Junior has reacted to the news, according to Sportskeeda. The 20-year-old right-back is leaving the Santiago Bernabeu after his contract expires at the end of June, having made only one senior appearance for the team.
Tobias took to Instagram to express his gratitude to the club and its staff, writing: "It was two nice years of a lot of learning, experience, and growth. To the technical staff, directors, and colleagues, my eternal gratitude. Just thankful for the opportunity to wear this shirt."
Vinicius Junior, who has played alongside Tobias on the training ground, commented on the post with a simple "Good luck, bro." The Brazil international has never played alongside Tobias in a competitive fixture for Real Madrid but has clearly developed a rapport with the young defender.
Tobias's departure is not surprising, given his limited playing time for the senior team. He made 61 appearances for Real Madrid Castilla, the club's reserve team, but failed to score a goal. With the arrival of Kylian Mbappe, competition for places in the first team is set to increase, making it even harder for young players like Tobias to break through.
Meanwhile, another young Real Madrid player, Alvaro Rodriguez, is also reportedly leaving the club due to limited game time. The 19-year-old striker has made only one La Liga appearance and is said to be attracting interest from Getafe and Rayo Vallecano.
As Real Madrid continues to evolve and strengthen its squad, it seems that some of its young players are finding it difficult to make an impact. However, the departures of Tobias and Rodriguez also represent opportunities for them to grow and develop elsewhere.
