Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State congratulated Eze Chike Worlu Wodo, the newly appointed chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area. Fubara's remarks were featured in a video on Sahara TV, where he hinted at potential legal challenges following Wodo's appointment.
Fubara expressed support for Eze Chike, stating that he expects legal challenges from the rival government. He urged the new chairman to remain calm and carry out his duties according to state law.
In Siminalayi Fubara's words in a video (8:16), he said, "I won't be surprised if I leave here and I hear that they have taken you to court or they have gone to seal the council. You know we have two governments now: the Rivers State government and the Abuja government. But whatever it is and for what it is, we must take the decision to show that we are the ones in charge. So let me first congratulate the new chairman; you need to come up and sit at the high table."
