Asisat Oshoala has opened up on the reason behind leaving Spanish giants Barcelona for American team Bay FC.
The Super Falcon star had a blistering career with Barcelona, making 162 appearances and scoring 117 goals.
She amassed 14 trophies, including two trebles, and ranked fourth in the club's history in terms of goals scored.
However, despite her blissful career at Barcelona, the forward decided to leave Spain to sign for Bay FC.
Oshoala on why she left Barcelona
Oshoala's decision to leave Barcelona was a tough decision but she claimed she wanted to follow her heart.
According to FIFA's official website, Oshoala said, "I was very comfortable at Barcelona, but I wanted to experience being at the start of something new.
"As soon as I heard about the project at Bay FC, I was very excited. I love what I do, and I make decisions based on what makes me happy. It's been pretty amazing here so far."
The Super Falcons forward said she needed a new challenge after winning several trophies with Barcelona.
With the new switch from Barcelona to Bay FC, Oshoala has adjusted well to life at her new club.
The forward scored in her first game for Bay FC as she announced herself to the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL).
