The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has alleged that President Tinubu was misinformed that the leaders of the unions were not intimidated and harassed when they had meeting with the Federal Government and the Tripartite National Minimum Wage Negotiation Committee.
Recall that President Tinubu on his broadcast today (Wednesday) has given assurance for the new minimum wage workforce. He promised to always listen to Nigerians, vowing not to turn his back on them.
While reacting to the President's speech, the NLC said no agreement was reached with the federal government.
The union admonished President Tinubu to demonstrate his lover for Nigerian workers and masses.
According to Newsmen, the union in a statement, "President's advisers obviously did not tell him the truth that the leaders of the trade unions were intimidated and harassed. It is therefore important that Mr. President understands that we were threatened severally by his operatives perhaps without his consent.
