Iheanacho leaves Leicester after seven years, as club move to keep Ndidi

Leicester City have confirmed the departure of Kelechi Iheanacho, Marc Albrighton, and Dennis Praet as their contracts expire on June 30.

Meanwhile, Jannik Vestergaard has signed a new three-year deal, keeping him at the club until 2027.

Iheanacho, who joined Leicester in 2017 from Manchester City, leaves after scoring six goals and providing three assists in 26 games last season.

Over his tenure, the Super Eagles star netted 61 goals and 34 assists in 232 appearances.

On the other hand, Albrighton, a key member of Leicester's 2015-16 Premier League-winning squad, scored 19 goals and made 48 assists in 313 games since joining in 2014.

Similarly Praet, who arrived from Sampdoria in 2019, contributed five goals and seven assists in 107 matches.

In contrast, Vestergaard has committed to a new deal following his significant role in Leicester's promotion campaign, where he started 44 matches.

The club is also in negotiations with Wilfried Ndidi, whose contract ends on June 30, aiming to extend his stay at the King Power Stadium.

Additionally, Leicester have also announced that star forward Jamie Vardy has extended his contract by one year.
