My nine years prison journey in the hands of MFM evil genius. Henry was framed up along two other workers of MFM in 2008. According to him, he was a barber. He also study building in a technical college. He was arrested by the police while he was coming from where he went to buy petrol into his generator.
While in the police cell, a police officer who happens to come from the same local government with him approached him and promised to release him if he could testify and lie against a man inside the cell. Henry was shocked but told the police officer to allow him see the person. Where he was sitting, they brought the man and it happens to be someone he knew in the street, a pastor who used to come and barbe in his shop.
After returning the pastor to the cell, he told the police officer that he wouldn't do that. He was bitten and was threatened that he would not be released and that he would suffer for not agreeing to do the job.
From that moment, all efforts by his family to get him released on bail or by lawyer proved abortive. While still in the cell, he was told that he would be released if he can prove to his profession by drawing the sketch of the entire street for them. The two police officer Omojuwa and Alahji Saudi promised him once again that he would be released. Hearing that, he took the paper from them and quickly drew the survey plan of the street since he was very conversant with the community not knowing they have a plan again.
He was later taken to an hotel with pastor Femi and Caleb. Sat them down and ask them to be discussing with the survey plan on the table surrounded by heavy police presence. At the same time the police were recording them. They were given drinks but they couldn't drink not knowing it was a set up.
Four weeks after, he was able to see his brother who told him that the allegations against him was that he was planning along with two other pastors to kill and rob MFM general overseer DK Olukoya. He was surprised and told his brother that the police had approached him to lie against a pastor who is inside the cell that he heard them discussing how to kill DK Olukoya but he couldn't do it.
After a while, they promised taking them to the court but unfortunately, by the time they took them to the court is was already 3pm, the court had closed and it was a Friday so, they were asked to bring them back on Monday. The story changed again on Monday. They were told that a signal came from above to transfer them to SARS at Ikeja.
They were eventually taken to SARS custody when another trouble of their lives began. In SARS, they were again displayed as criminals along with armed robbers in the presence of the press.
Investigations were carried out in SARS. Some of the police officers there knew that these people were not armed robbers but the powers that be will not let them go. Family members came, cry paid money to the police to free them but to no avail.
While in the SARS custody, the IPO had warned them not to take food from unknown people. Some MFM members came and gave them food. Fortunately, that day, they were all praying and fasting. They were called to come and identify those who brought the food and pastor Femi, knowing that the IPO had warned them not to take food from anybody told the police that they don't know them. One of the captive in the cell ate the food because he was hungry and died shortly after eating the food. Eventually with the help of God, the IPO took their case file to the officer in charge of crime named Gaji who after interrogation told the IPO to arraigne them for court the following Monday, but told them that if the court free them, they should learn from this experience. As God will have it, they were taken to the court from where they were sent to remand in Ikoyi prison. While in court, the same MFM pastors came to witness against them. They came with some area boys and some OPC members to lie against them.
In the prison, this same MFM members came to visit them claiming to be their family. They brought food which could have been poisoned but with their experience in SARS they told the warders not to allow them come close and they were walked out.
Thank God for the help of the Catholic church arch diocese of Lagos state father Adeyemo who always visit and counsel and solicits funds for them in the prison to enrol into national open university. They enrolled Henry into National Open university.
Eventually, they got a lawyer who messed up their case in court. A case that is fixed for 10 o'clock, the lawyer will appear at 12 noon. This is a typical example of compromise. They had to change their lawyer and with the help of God. They got a lawyer who stood for them in truth and in faith. The son of the babalawo who witnessed the visit of the MFM pastor in Ogbomosho appeared in court to witness for the pastor. The manager who also witnessed the frame up in the hotel too came to witness for the pastors. MFM came with nine witnesses including their DPO they used in framing up these People.
To God be the glory, the judge gave her verdict: declared them free. Discharged and acquitted.
Eight years after, MFM never apologise for their brutality against their pastor and an innocent man whom they ought to have brought to Christ but rather killed the light in them.
