The Kylian Mbappé transfer saga is finally over as Real Madrid confirmed the signing of the French superstar on Monday, June 3, 2024.
The 25-year-old joins the Spanish giants in a reported five-year-deal, having left Paris Saint Germain for free after 6 years.
Mbappé took to social media to express delight over a "dream come true" as the Les Blues skipper prepares to lead his nation at the upcoming EURO 2024.
Mbappé wrote via an announcement post featuring childhood photos of himself flaunting his love for Real Madrid:

"So happy and proud to join the club of my dream @realmadrid. Nobody can understand how excited I am right now.

Mbappé gains over 2,000,000 followers following official announcement as Real Madrid signing
Pulse Sports reports that barely an hour after his official confirmation as Real Madrid's latest signing, Mbappé saw a sporadic increase in his Instagram following.
Within the hour of the official transfer announcement, the French superstar gained 1 million new followers.
Within the next four hours, Mbappé gained another 1 million followers, to take his Instagram following from 114 million before the announcement to 116 million and counting, after the announcement.
Mbappé also changed his Instagram bio to declare his affiliation for his new club, as he received thousands of congratulatory messages for his colleagues, past and present as well as fans, friends and family, including five-time Ballon d'Or winner and Madrid legend, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Mbappé will reportedly be handed Real Madrid's no.9 jersey previously worn by 2022 Ballon d'Or winner and his former France national teammate, Karim Benzema.
The 25-year-old forward is currently preparing to light up the Euro 2024 from France this month under the guidance of Coach Didier Deschamps.
The 2018 World Cup champions have been touted as one of the favourites to win the tournament.
