Serie A side Napoli have reportedly fingered Romelu Lukaku as Victor Osimhen's replacement.
Napoli are gearing up for the exit of star forward Victor Osimhen this summer and are said to have identified Romelu Lukaku as a replacement should they land Antonio Conte as their next manager.
Lukaku is currently on loan at AS Roma from Chelsea; however, he will likely play his football away from Italy's capital next season, with Napoli said to be keen.
Conte could influence Lukaku to Napoli
According to the Italian publication Corriere Della Sera, the Partenopei have their sights set on Belgium international Lukaku as Osimhen's replacement.
Lukaku is still on the books of Chelsea, but after falling out with the club, he has spent multiple seasons on loan in Italy.
He is currently in Roma but could play for a third Italian club in three years, with Napoli on his case. The Partenopei are reportedly set to name Conte as their next manager, and his arrival could help foster any move for Lukaku.
The Belgian had his resurgence under Conte in his first stint at Inter after struggling at Manchester United. He scored 23 league goals in 33 starts under the Italian in the 2019/20 season.
The former Tottenham manager could help influence Lukaku's decision. Also, Chelsea are one of the suitors for Napoli's Victor Osimhen, and Lukaku could be used as make weight by the Blues in their proposal to tempt the Partenopei for their star forward.
