Bruno 'expresses desire' for Man United stay after seeking assurances over two key factors

According to The Athletic, Bruno Fernandes has expressed his desire to stay at Man United after having a meeting with club officials.

He discussed his future in a 'lengthy conversation' at Carrington with the Red Devils' leadership team. The officials and the midfielder agreed to continue beyond this season.

Fernandes wanted clarity over the direction in which Man United are heading. He wants the club to match his ambitions, to compete for major trophies and be successful under the new set-up.

However, Bruno's potential future exit can't be totally ruled out. He will want to see evidence over the club's progression and ability to win trophies. If he grows unsatisfied then the midfielder could be sold.

Yet the recent meeting has strengthened expectations within Man United that the club captain will not be leaving in the summer.

Bruno's current deal runs up until June 2026 and he has arguably been Man United's best player this season with 15 goals and 11 assists in all competitions.
