Aston Villa managar Unai Emery has reportedly told sporting director Monchi to pursue Leicester City's Super Eagles ace.
Aston Villa boss Unai Emery is pushing for the signing of Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho, according to reports.
The Villans are making a charge for a Champions League place next season, and are already evaluating the market in preparation for the possibility of playing in Europe's elite competition next season.
They are already making moves in the market and Leicester Iheanacho is one of the names they are monitoring.
Emery pushes for Iheanacho
According to Football Fancast, Emery has implored sporting director Monchi to land Iheanacho from Leicester City.
The Foxes are champions of the Championship, and are set for a return to the Premier League next season. It is increasingly likely that Iheanacho, one of their star forwards, could jump ship before the return to the top flight, as he has a spate of suitors, and Leicester have slapped a £8 million price tag on him.
Aston Villa were embarrassed out of Europe by Greek side Olympiacos but sit fourth-placed in the Champions League, with a high likelihood of making the Champions League next season.
Emery alongside highly rated sporting director Monchi are said to be gearing up for next season already and have identified Iheanacho as a crucial addition.
