The founder of TAF Africa, Jake Epelle has revealed that the exparte motion stating the temporary relocation of the sitting of the Rivers state House of Assembly to the Auditorium of the Admin block of the government House in Port Harcourt was not instituted by governor Fubara as widely reported by some persons.
Jake Epelle who spoke during an interview with Arise TV, said that the exparte motion was instituted by the current speaker and the members of the Assembly, and that the governor was actually joined in the order.
He said, "Contrary to what's making rounds, the exparte motion was not instituted by the governor, it was instituted by the current speaker and his members, the governor was actually joined in the order," he said.
Speaking further, Jake Epelle said that it is a good thing that governor Siminalayi Fubara is beginning to do what is expected of him as governor of Rivers state.
"I think it's a good thing, an interesting development, I think the governor is beginning to sit up and do the needful," he said.
Jake Epelle also addressed the reactions that have trailed the visit of Siminalayi Fubara to the residential quarters of the State House of Assembly. He said that as governor, Fubara has the right to go there and see things for himself.
"He (Fubara) is the governor of the state, including the state Assembly quarter, he has every right to go there and see things for himself," he said.
