The Rivers State High Court has suspended the speaker of the House of Assembly, Martin Amaewhule, and 24 others from parading themselves as lawmakers.
Torizone reports that the affected lawmakers are part of a group loyal to FCT minister Nyesom Wike.
According to court document seen by our reporter, the matter will come up for hearing on May 29, 2024.
The court also prohibited Martin Amaewhule from convening plenary at the assembly premises.
The affected lawmakers are:
