Fabrizio Romano has stated that Chelsea have just agreed personal terms with potentially their first signing of the summer.
The Blues are expected to be very busy this summer when it comes to bringing new players in ahead of next season.
It has been previously claimed a striker is high up on their shortlist, and they have a number of names they are considering bringing in.
However, it can't be ruled out that the Blues are going to continue spending money on some of the top young talents before they get snatched up by fellow elite sides.
One of those mentioned recently has been Estevao, who has been portrayed as one of the next big stars of the game.
Chelsea agree personal terms with Estevao
It has previously been reported that his side, Palmeiras, are holding out for a fee in the region of £55m, with the Blues favourites for the deal.
While Romano took to Twitter to state the original offer will be lower than that, he does also mention that the Blues have agreed personal terms with the 17-year-old.
He said: "Understand Chelsea have reached verbal agreement with Willian Estevão on personal terms.
"Told initial bid still to be sent but it will be around €32m plus add-ons, as talks with Palmeiras will follow. Nothing done yet but Chelsea remains clear favourites since January."
If Estevao was to join the club, he would be joining an elite line of young stars who have already been signed up. The Brazilian would not be able to meet up with the first team until summer 2025.
Estevao could be joining Kendry Paez at Chelsea
This is the same time Ecuador international Kendry Paez will also be making his move to Stamford Bridge, with him brought in with much hype.
The midfielder seems to score a stunning goal every week right now, and will certainly be impressing people at the club who are keeping an eye on their young talents coming through.
Despite the high reported fees, Estevao is another player supporters should be really excited about potentially joining.
