Nottingham Forest have seen their appeal against a four-point deduction rejected, ESPN reports.
The Premier League club was hit with a four-point deduction in March, after they were found guilty of a breach of Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).
At the time, they expressed disappointment at the decision and confirmed they would appeal.
However, an independent commission has dismissed their protest.
This leaves Forest stuck in a relegation battle.
Nuno Espirito Santo's men are on 29 points, three points ahead of 18th-placed Luton. Both clubs have just two games remaining.
