Manchester United are reportedly keen to sell both Mason Greenwood and Jadon Sancho during this summer's transfer window in order to raise funds for new signings.

Greenwood has had a productive season on loan at Getafe, scoring 10 goals and registering six assists in 31 appearances in all competitions.

Sancho, meanwhile, returned to Borussia Dortmund on loan in January, and he has made 16 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit in his second spell at the club, scoring three goals and registering two assists.

According to The Independent, both players will be made available for transfer this summer, as Man United need to raise funds in order to be active in the upcoming market due to the Premier League's rules surrounding profitability and sustainability.

Having been told that he has no future at the club, Greenwood joined Getafe on loan last summer, with the Englishman bidding to rebuild his career after a spell out of the game.

Mason Greenwood 'expected to be sold this summer'

In January 2022, following accusations from a woman, Greenwood was arrested on suspicion of rape and assault, and he was then further arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and threats to kill.

The forward was also facing charges of attempted rape, engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm, but the case against him was dropped last February.

Man United's new minority shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe recently opened the door for Greenwood to potentially continue his career at Old Trafford during the 2024-25 campaign.

However, despite Ratcliffe's comments, it is understood that a summer exit is still being planned, with Juventus and Atletico Madrid thought to be keen; Getafe would like to keep him, but the capital outfit cannot compete for his signature due to financial restrictions.

Greenwood has scored 35 goals and registered 12 assists in 129 appearances for Man United, and he was regarded as one of the best young talents in world football before his arrest.

Man United 'keen to move Jadon Sancho on'

Sancho, meanwhile, has not represented Man United since last August, having fallen out with Red Devils head coach Erik ten Hag at the start of the current campaign.

Ten Hag said that he left the ex-Manchester City youngster out against Arsenal earlier this season due to some poor performances in training, but Sancho took to social media to insist that was not the case, effectively branding his manager a liar.

Having refused to apologise, Sancho was removed from the first-team picture at Old Trafford, which led to him returning to Dortmund on loan in January.

The 24-year-old has made a positive impression in his second spell with the Champions League semi-finalists, and Man United are believed to be looking to sell him for around £40m, with a return to BVB on a long-term basis thought to be an option.

Sancho has struggled during his time at Old Trafford, only managing 12 goals and six assists in 82 appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions.
