According to report, Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka has commended Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo for his unwavering dedication to the sport.
Renowned for his prolific goal-scoring prowess, Ronaldo boasts an impressive tally of 885 senior career goals across 1,200 professional appearances for club and country. Saka attributes Ronaldo's remarkable achievements as a source of inspiration for countless footballers.
"He was a perfect example of that.
He just exploded and turned into a goalscoring machine, and I think he inspired a lot of players to try and follow in his footsteps," Saka expressed to The Mirror.
Drawing parallels between Ronaldo's commitment and his own aspirations, Saka highlighted the influence of Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta in shaping his goals.
Arteta has challenged Saka to develop into a player capable of thriving in 60-70 matches per season.
"He [Arteta] told me the elite players all do it, so if I want to get to that level, I have to be ready to play that many games and try and help my team win each of those games as well," Saka affirmed.
On his journey towards meeting Arteta's expectations, the 22-year-old has shown notable progress, surpassing 200 appearances for Arsenal and achieving 50 senior goals. Additionally, he has earned 32 caps for the England national team.
