This week, the England forward took to social media to fire back at his critics, having been scrutinized for his performances throughout this campaign.

Rashford's reaction came after a fan made a post on X formerly known as Twitter, that read: "The way Marcus Rashford is being treated is absolutely disgusting. It's cruel. It's abuse."

The United no.10 concurred with this sentiment, quoting the post with a defiant message that read: "I appreciate your support! It is abuse and has been for months. Enough is enough."

Fans also noticed that he changed his profile picture to an all blacked out icon.

So far this campaign, Rashford has scored eight goals, a stack contrast to his career best tally last year of 30.

The Red Devils star is currently out with an injury he sustained in the FA Cup semi-final.

Rashford is expected to miss United's game against Burnley this weekend unless there is a positive update from Erik ten Hag's during his pre-match press conference.
