Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has explained Erling Haaland's failure to score against Real Madrid.
Haaland also failed to score against the LaLiga giants over two legs last season.
Earlier this week, the 23-year-old was shackled by Aurelio Tchouameni and Antonio Rudiger, as both teams played out a 3-3 draw in the first leg of their quarter-final tie.
Guardiola has now claimed that the two players that marshalled Haaland did a good job.
He said:
"We scored three goals at the Bernabéu. He had two central defenders near him.
"Haaland is a young player, he has margins to improve but it's more about the team than him to get better."
