Victor Boniface says he is delighted to be back on the pitch again following his injury layoff.
The Nigeria international only returned to action last week after spending around three months on the sidelines for an adductor injury.
Boniface was on target in Bayer Leverkusen's 2-0 victory against West Ham United
"I feel good, I feel happy to be playing football again," he said after the game.
"It was not easy after being injured for two, three months, I missed a lot of games and I am still trying to come back.
"I am happy to come and help my team."
He also reflected on the win against West Ham which has now put them in a good position to qualify for the semi-finals of the Europa League.
"We played West Ham in pre-season and so we know the type of game they play," he added.
"The important thing was to be patient, play our style and convert our chances when they come and that's what we did."
