It was earlier reported that American-based Nigerian singer and dancer, Korra Obidi was viciously attacked by an unknown woman who poured acid on her face and attempted to stab her with a knife in the United Kingdom.
The singer was on live stream on Facebook when she got attacked. She fought for her life and cried for help for about 7 minutes in the video before people intervened. The live video eventually ended without a clear understanding of what happened to the singer.
Giving an update on Korra Obidi's wellbeing, Nancy Umeh broke down into tears as she stated that she almost lost her sister today. She said the woman who attacked her was aiming to stab her in the stomach after pouring acid on her.
Nancy Umeh tearfully explained that she was the one who lodged her sister in the apartment after they went to London together. She said no other person knows the location of the apartment. Thus, she was surprised when she saw a video of her sister begging for life after she was attacked.
Narrating what happened, Nancy Umeh stated that her sister was about getting out of her apartment when the woman attacked her with a knife. She said the woman, who was waiting by her door, pushed her back inside the apartment, poured acid on her and attempted to stab her to death.
"I pray to God these cameras caught this girl's face. She wore a hoodie, and put her face down throughout. She waited and as soon as my sister opened the door, she pushed her in, poured the acid on her and tried to get her stomach."
"My sister held the knife and kept begging her. 'My queen, please, whatever I have done to you. I am sorry'. She told her she was sorry but why would she apologize for being herself. Why does she have to walk her back because some people are just jealous of her." -she stated.
She added that the suspect is from East Africa. "A Black East-African (woman) poured acid on my sister's face and tried to stab in the UK."
