Nigeria women held South Africa to a goalless draw in Pretoria tonight and this was what secured their qualification to the Olympic tournament as they won the first leg by 1-0. Super Falcons goalkeeper Nnadozie was the best player in Pretoria as she made many saves to deny South Africa from scoring. The manager will be proud of her performance tonight.
The Super Falcons still have room for improvement as they were poor in the attack today. They need to learn to create more goal-scoring opportunities and take them.
However, FIFA has reacted as the Super Falcons broke their Olympic jinx since 2008 with a 1-0 aggregate victory over South Africa today, securing their qualification to Paris 2024.
